Academy Team through to play off semi-finals

Although final confirmation is awaited it looks as though, following results elsewhere, DCC’s Academy Team will finish top of its Surrey Trust League Tier 1 group and progress to the playoff semi-finals. This follows a successful season of 4 wins and just one defeat – well 3 wins and 2 defeats but no need to explain.

In total 26 players have played, with 21 of these under 18 and 12 of them under 16s and below showing the strength in depth of our junior section. Most weeks the team has been much younger than the opposition on average and have played their matches in the right spirit, with a smile on their face and have been a joy to watch.

We await confirmation of the opposition and date but the semi-final will be at home on either Sunday the 18th or 25th August.
