Saturday Third X1 Match Reports
Old Mid Whitgiftians away on 7th July 2007 in the Surrey Championship Old Mid Whitgiftians 148 all out ( Kanak Patel 4-32 and Deb Biswas 3-32) Dulwich 148 all out Result: Lost by 26 runs
Another disappointing loss for the 3rd eleven this Saturday, having done all the hard work in creating plenty of opportunities to win the game we managed not to make the most of any of them. Having won the toss and choosing to bowl we picked up some early wickets with both openers Deb and Sasi consistently putting the ball on a length. The Legend and Beggsy followed producing much of the same. Veryan bowled with much determination but unfortunately was unable to get into the same rhythm as the other bowlers. The ground fielding was so good that we preferred the ball to end up on the ground even when it came through the air. Not much to say about the batting with none of the top order going on with it but some valuable time was spent in the middle for Tom who produced a decent 20. Hopefully the return of fixtures as of next week will produce a return of results.
