Result: Dulwich Win

Dulwich 218-6 wickets declared and Streatham & Marlborough 175 all out

An inspired spell of bowling by former Surrey fast bowler Mark Kenlock led Dulwich to a remarkable victory in their local derby at Streatham & Marlborough. The win made it seven wins out of seven for the Castle Lager sponsored Surrey Championship Division Two leaders.

Put into bat, Dulwich lost two early wickets including their prolific captain, Richard Farrow. New Zealander Jack Lusk held the innings together. Jack enjoyed partnerships of 26 with Raj Tulsiani, who was third out for 25 , 59 with Mark Kelly who made 34 and 72 with Ty Hopes, who was dismissed off the last ball of the innings for 32.

Lusk was undefeated for the fifth consecutive innings and his score of 83 not out takes his aggregate to 254, averaging 127! Jack has scored 234 since his last dismissal. The Dulwich innings was declared closed at 218 for six wickets after 55 overs.

Streatham & Marlborough started confidently in reply and put on 38 in twelve overs before Kenlock had Dan Ellis caught behind for 14. Michael Rush (69) and Andy Murphy (56) and appeared to be cruising to victory. The return of Kenlock for his second spell brought about a transformation as he took three wickets with his first four balls. Leg spinner Ty Hopes nipped in with three wickets before Kenlock again took three wickets in four balls to polish off the innings. Kenlock took six wickets for six runs in his second spell to finish with 7 for 35 off 12.5 overs.
