148 all out and Woking & Horsell 110 all out
Dulwich maintained their 100 per cent record with a thirty eight
run win at Woking and Horsell. Put into bat on a difficult track,
Dulwich struggled to score against an accurate attack, and were
held together by a fighting innings of 33 off 105 balls by skipper
Richard Farrow. Mark Kelly, with 13, was the only other batsman
in the top seven to make double figures. Farrow’s dismissal
was the first of three wickets in two overs to leave Dulwich struggling
on 84 for 7.
The Dulwich innings was rescued by a spirited innings of 40 off
49 balls by Mark Kenlock, sharing in stands of 27 with Graeme
Hough and 36 with Eugene Strange to take the total to 148 all
out.
Woking in reply, lost their first four wickets for forty runs,
three to Mark Kenlock and one to Mark Kelly. Glen Morley led a
recovery for Woking with 51 off 50 balls before being dismissed
by Mark Kelly in his second spell. Australian leg spinner Ty Hopes
then took three wickets in successive overs on his club debut.
He finished with the creditable figures of 3 for 37 off 13 overs
despite conceding 13 in his first over.
Mark Kenlock took the ninth wicket, and finished with four for
19 off fifteen overs before Kelly returned to take the last wicket
and finish with three for 33.
Dulwich entertain Chessington at home next week.
