Dulwich 1st XI vs. Maori-Oxshott
Result: Dulwich Win
Dulwich 177 and Maori-Oxshott 133 Dulwich celebrated their return to Division Two with a convincing
44 run victory at Maori-Oxshott, winning with more than fifteen
overs to spare. Put into bat, Dulwich scored steadily from the
start, led from the front by an elegant innings of 55 from skipper,
Richard Farrow. He was well supported by 21 from Mark Kelly. Two
run outs and a flurry of poor shots left Dulwich poised precariously
at 123-6, but a partnership of 33 between Anil Mahey and Graeme
Hough steadied the innings and a quick 17 off 14 balls from Mark
Kenlock took Dulwich to 177 all out.
Kelly and Kenlock then continued their superb form of last season
by shattering the Maori-Oxshott top order. Kelly took two wickets
with the first four balls of the innings and Kenlock chipped in
with a further three to leave their opponents on 49-5.
A sixth wicket partnership of 47 brought Maori-Oxshott back into
the game until a devastating spell of four wickets in four overs
by Graeme Hough brought about a collapse. Kenlock returned to take
the final wicket and finished with four wickets for 31 runs off
14.1 overs, while Hough finished with four for 29.
Dulwich face an away trip to Woking and Horsell next week.
