Dulwich CC Colts Section

The Dulwich Colts Section has grown dramatically in numbers in the last four years. If you are interested in joining or require further information please contact Membership Secretary Jill Davidson as soon as possible. . We will send out membership renewals to existing members and prospective members should contact the Membership Secretary, Jill Davidson telephone: 020 8299 2608 or email: callpaul@talktalk.net We now have nine sides in the NEC Surrey League at U-8 to U-15 levels including U-10 and U-12B teams and hope to also stage a number of friendly matches during the Season, which runs from the end of April until early August. Our aim is to develop the enthusiasm and proficiency of young players and hopefully encourage them to continue with the Club to become players at Senior Level. Coaching is organised by Allen Blackford with a team of qualified professional coaches, mostly Dulwich 1st Xl players and some with Surrey experience too! Coaching sessions are held as follows:- • Monday afternoon/evening [Years 7-10] We are always grateful for offers of help with team management, administration, umpiring and scoring even if you are only available for a few games. The Cricket Club organises a number of social events during the summer to which Colts Parents and often Colts are invited. We are hoping to see you at the Colts registration morning at the club on Sunday 13th April 2008 from 11am in the Pavilion. For reference the 2008 Fixtures Lists will be issued shortly online. the 2007 season fixtures have been included for information. We have left some of the old match reports to inspire budding authors! Many of our former Colts have begun to play in the Club's senior Saturday and Sunday teams. We currently run seven so there is plenty of opportunity. If you wish to be considered please contact John Lawrence on 020 8761 2091. In addition we have entered a two teams in the innovative Sunday League in which at least six of the players must be under 21 with a minimum of two players under 18. The second X1 has even more emphasis on youth and John Lawrence is seeking to recruit young players from last year's succesful under 15 X1. Both teams play in coloured clothing for the league games.
